In the first 6 months of the year, agricultural, forestry and fishery exports still increased sharply, reaching 24.23 billion USD (up 28.2% over the same period in 2020). With this positive result, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said it would raise the agricultural export target this year to 45 billion USD, 3 billion USD higher than the target assigned by the Government at the beginning of the year.

According to the Provincial Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development), this agency has just received the test results of the Veterinary Department of Region II on samples of 3 dead chickens at the household of Mr. Nguyen Huy Long, Bai Cat village, Vu Oai commune, Ha Long city. Accordingly, all 3 samples were positive for avian influenza virus A/H5N8.
