The production and supply capacity of some poultry egg production and trading enterprises can reach up to 1 million eggs/day.

Based on the report of the Working Group directing production, connecting supply and consumption of agricultural products in the southern provinces and cities during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the purchase of poultry eggs during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The report of the Working Group said that through surveys to grasp the situation and reports from localities on the production and supply capacity of some poultry egg production and trading enterprises, the supply capacity is quite large.

Accordingly, many units can supply over 1 million eggs per day such as QL Vietnam Co., Ltd., C.P. Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, Viet Swan Company. Many units are capable of supplying over 200,000 eggs per day such as Ba Huan Joint Stock Company, Emivest Vietnam Trading Company, Nam Huong Poultry Farming Company Limited, An Ty Company Limited, Tafa Viet Chicken Farm (Binh Thuan), Vinh Thanh Dat Company...

Many units can supply over 1 million eggs per day.

In addition, some units are also capable of supplying duck eggs such as Ba Huan Joint Stock Company with 100,000 eggs per day, Vinh Thanh Dat Company with 153,300 eggs per day...

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development requested the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to direct relevant units to organize purchasing and supplying to meet the consumption needs of the city's residents.

Previously, on July 22, the Working Group sent a document to provinces and cities; including Ho Chi Minh City regarding the list of enterprises and cooperatives supplying goods and agricultural products. The working group has compiled a list of 180 suppliers of agricultural products.

Specifically, there are 41 suppliers of vegetables; 65 suppliers of fruits; 59 suppliers of seafood, processed goods, livestock, eggs, meat, and milk; 11 suppliers of rice; and 4 suppliers of other products. The list of enterprises, cooperatives supplying goods, agricultural products, and enterprises producing and trading poultry eggs continues to be updated by the working group.
