Organizing many activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2022

Activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day will start from the end-of-year shopping season of 2021 (November), be organized in March 2022 (peak month), and last until the end of May 2022.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Plan No. 4073/KH-BCT, selecting the subject for activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2022 as "Safe consumption in the new normal period."

With this subject, the Ministry of Industry and Trade calls for, mobilizes, and encourages the participation of state agencies, social organizations, businesses, and consumers in related activities, gradually making Vietnam Consumer Rights Day an important driving force and highlight in socio-economic life, contributing to building a healthy business and consumption environment for the country.

Activities for consumer rights are encouraged to be organized and implemented throughout 2022, focusing on the month of Vietnam Consumer Rights Day (March 15th) and peak periods for business and consumption such as the New Year, Lunar New Year, shopping seasons, or peak shopping days in the market.

Activities towards Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2022 are implemented from November 15th, 2021, to February 28th, 2022. State management agencies, social organizations, and enterprises need to proactively organize activities or integrate and include in professional activities and business activities contents to enhance consumer rights.

Especially during peak shopping days, periods, and seasons, along with focusing on activities to promote business, businesses need to develop effective tools to ensure consumer rights, build and maintain good relationships with consumers, and proactively turn the responsibility to quickly and fully respond to consumer demands and wishes into a driving force for development and competitive advantages of businesses in the market.

State agencies should strengthen market monitoring and inspection activities, promote propaganda, dissemination, reception, and settlement of consumer complaints and requests, and resolutely and strictly handle acts that infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

Depending on actual conditions, activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2022 can be organized online or centrally. The development and organization of response activities must take into account the developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensure the health and safety of participants, and contribute to the development of business and consumption methods, habits, and skills suitable for the new normal state.
