Regarding this issue, Mr. Phuong informed that the Department of Industry and Trade is actively coordinating with the Department of Transport and the City Police to advise the City leaders to unify among the units to flexibly handle goods entering the city.
Regarding the issue of supplying pork to the city, the Deputy Director of the City Department of Industry and Trade said that in recent days when implementing Directive 16, the consumption of livestock meat in the city has decreased sharply, only 5,000 - 6,000 heads/day, at times only 4,500 heads. Of which, the amount of meat from Vissan accounts for about 10%. Besides Vissan, the city has many other distribution systems.
Therefore, Mr. Phuong said that when Vissan's pork supply is in short supply, other units will promptly supplement it.
According to the press release released this afternoon, Vissan's leadership affirmed that it will continue to supply fresh food products to the Ho Chi Minh City market. As for other business activities, they will be gradually restored after the workforce in quarantine areas is eligible to return to work.
Previously, Vissan informed customers about the temporary suspension of supplying pork in blister packs, due to the factory having cases related to F0.
