On average, in the first 7 months of 2021, core inflation increased by 0.89% compared to the same period in 2020, lower than the average CPI (up 1.64%), which reflects fluctuations in consumer prices mainly due to increases in food prices, gasoline, oil, electricity, and gas prices.
Core inflation in July and the first 7 months of 2021 compared to the same period last year were both the lowest since 2011.

Data from the General Statistics Office shows that the average CPI growth rate in the first 7 months of the year compared to the same period last year for the years 2016-2021 was: 1.82% increase; 3.91% increase; 3.45% increase; 2.61% increase; 4.07% increase; 1.64% increase, respectively.
The household electricity price index in July is calculated based on revenue and electricity consumption from June 1-30, 2021, so it reflects fluctuations one month behind other items.
