On the morning of July 22, the Special Task Force of the Ministry of Industry and Trade worked with the Bach Hoa Xanh system on the issue of goods supply and compliance with business regulations.

Regarding the public opinion about the increase in prices of goods at the Bach Hoa Xanh system, reporting to the Task Force, Mr. Tran Kinh Doanh - General Director of the Bach Hoa Xanh system said that while the market demand pressure is high and the workload is large, mistakes are inevitable. The business has immediately corrected the situation, and at the same time sent out a message on July 21 to refund all the difference in damages, and compensate customers with an additional 100,000 VND/purchase.

According to Mr. Doanh, Bach Hoa Xanh is a mini supermarket system, currently has nearly 2,000 points of sale across 24 southern provinces with a workforce of 20,000 people and 560 stores in Ho Chi Minh City.

In each Bach Hoa Xanh store, there are 3,000-5,000 different product codes, most of which do not increase in price.

The General Director of the Bach Hoa Xanh system committed that in the coming time, the Bach Hoa Xanh system will strictly comply with regulations and try its best to supply goods, especially essential goods to serve the people.

"However, in the early days of applying Directive 16, due to pressure on input prices, supply, transportation of goods, etc., some items increased significantly compared to normal and prices have recently stabilized," Mr. Doanh said at the meeting.

According to the Special Task Force, the Bach Hoa Xanh system has a number of violations such as price posting, miscalculation of prices, etc. that need to be corrected immediately.

Deputy Minister Do Thang Hai acknowledged the contributions of the Bach Hoa Xanh system in participating in price stabilization and market connection programs, ensuring the supply of goods, especially essential goods, in the context of the Southern provinces and cities applying Directive 16.

However, Deputy Minister Do Thang Hai also stated that recently the Bach Hoa Xanh system had violations in business activities and had to seriously learn from experience and find solutions to overcome them immediately.

"With the assigned authority and responsibility, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has reminded and handled this enterprise in accordance with current regulations," said Deputy Minister Do Thang Hai.

Assessing that the market for goods supply in the coming period will have complicated developments due to the impact of the epidemic, Deputy Minister Do Thang Hai requested the Bach Hoa Xanh system to increase its supply of goods, increase mobile sales, especially of essential goods to serve the needs of consumers. In particular, businesses need to pay attention to the issue of agricultural product consumption, especially seasonal agricultural products, to support farmers and producers.

“The Ministry of Industry and Trade recommends that Bach Hoa Xanh harmonize business interests and support the consumption of agricultural products, supply of goods, especially essential goods to serve the needs of the people. In the process of business and supply of goods, if any problems arise, businesses need to notify the locality and the Ministry of Industry and Trade for timely coordination and resolution,” Deputy Minister Do Thang Hai emphasized.
