3,001 price stabilization points of sale and 388 mobile sales points in Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of July 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade said that the city currently has 3,001 price stabilization points of sale at supermarkets and convenience stores and 388 mobile sales points.

The list and specific addresses of the points of sale have been made public on the City's Electronic Information Portal.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade said that in the coming time, it will continue to organize more price stabilization points of sale and mobile stores, and the number of points of sale will increase sharply.

The Department has also mobilized many resources, connected distribution systems, businesses in the fields of trade and logistics, and organized mobile price stabilization points of sale to help the poor and disadvantaged.

"Temporarily, the Department will not limit the units participating in this activity, but the organization at the points of sale must ensure the requirements of COVID-19 prevention and control and the selling price must be stable as committed," the representative of the Department of Industry and Trade affirmed.

In order to enhance the application of information technology in the management of traditional market activities, the Department of Industry and Trade is coordinating with the Department of Information and Communications to deploy a model of applying information technology in the organization of traditional market activities.

Specifically, the pilot model of "Market scheduling app for people" has been deployed at Tan Chanh Hiep market, District 12, the pilot model of "Market scheduling switchboard" has been deployed at Binh Thoi market, District 11. Based on the evaluation of the effectiveness at the pilot markets, it will be expanded to traditional markets in the city.

For some localities that find it difficult to restore traditional markets, the Department has proposed a number of models such as establishing small-scale sales points (2-10 small traders), prioritizing the sale of fresh products such as vegetables, tubers, fruits, meat, fish, etc. in the market yard or small sales points.

In addition, mobilizing local forces to support direct delivery connections from wholesale market traders and gardeners to the people.
